      Chris and Kristi Chandler were both raised in the rural area of northeast Alabama in the neighboring towns of Crossville and Geraldine. They were both saved at a young age and were raised in the Baptist church. They later met in college, and in September of 1995, were married. Chris began preparing for a career as a high school science teacher. He later graduated from Jacksonville State University in Alabama with a Master's degree in education and began teaching science at a local high school. During this time, a deep hunger began to grow in them to experience more of the Spirit of God. They immediately felt God was leading them out of the Baptist churches in which they grew up. Going from church to church, they could sense the dryness in all the denominations in their area. They knew that there had to be more.
