To begin with, true prayer is a gift of God. The idea that we can communicate with the Creator of the universe, our Father in heaven, is amazing! Another amazing thing is that prayer is not complicated. As the old hymn says, we need to come as we are to God. It is so crucial in knowing God. A simple definition of prayer is simply communicating with our Father, as Jesus did. But to come to the Father, we must first believe in Jesus. In fact, prayer is one of the most important components of the Christian life. Pray for others, ourselves, gives thanks, and glory to God. They have seen God respond with many wonderful answers.
