P OSSESSED By      The         HOLY      GHOST By: Chris Chandler         God wants to completely immerse us in His Spirit. He wants us to be filled with the Holy Spirit to the point that we overflow with God's love to the world. In fact, God wants us to be possessed by the Holy Ghost! A Passion For God God's desire is for us to be intensely passionate for Him and hungry for His presence. The prophet Isaiah said that day and night he yearned for God. (Isa. 26:9) He wanted God's presence in his life more than anything else. If we As the Spirit of God "possesses" us, we become just like Jesus as we demonstrate His love and walk in His power. will get that same hunger, God declares that He will not only come to us but He will fill our innermost being with His presence. (Matt. 5:6) When we are filled with the Holy Ghost, we are radically transformed into God's image. We begin to walk in God's ways because we are filled with God's love. (Romans 5:5) This love creates a burning desire in us to wholeheartedly serve God. Jesus said... "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40 NIV When we love God with our whole heart, mind, and soul, it will overflow to the people around us. Just recently, I had a vision in which I saw Jesus filling up a vehicle. As He was pumping the fuel, I noticed that it was pouring out all over the ground. He didn't even stop when the tank was full, but just kept pumping more. God showed me that, in the same way, we need to continually stay filled with the Holy Ghost so that we will overflow God's love to the world. Demonstrating God's Love When we are continually filled with God's Spirit, we will reach a point where we become "possessed by the Holy Ghost". As the Spirit of God "possesses" us, we become just like Jesus as we demonstrate His love and walk in His power. We are willing to do anything in His Name because all fear is gone. Nothing is impossible because God is with us. Our hands become like the very hands of God reaching out to the lost, to the hurting, and to the dying. God showed me that because of the anointing of the Holy Ghost in us, miracles will happen in our midst even as we walk into a place. Sinners will know that they are lost and will give their lives to Jesus before we even open our mouths. When we do speak, we will see an instant manifestation of what we say, because it will be just like God speaking. We will be totally astounded at the things that we will do by the power of God. As we are possessed by the Holy Ghost, God will lead and guide us into paths we have never known before. He will guide us into all truth so that we can be a light to the world. In fact, we will be like a wildfire that can't be stopped. It will be the fire of this infinite passion that will propel us into demonstrating God's awesome power and reaping in the end-time harvest!
