Seamless Garment Our Seamless Garment

By: Chris & Kristi Chandler

God not only wants our body to be healed, but He wants us to be completely whole. Jesus came to give us peace. The word "peace" in the Hebrew actually means "wholeness--nothing missing, nothing broken".

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NKJV

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, Who also will do it.

Our Body Should Be A Seamless Garment

God showed us that our bodies are to be whole like the seamless garment that Jesus wore...

John 19:23-24 NIV

When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took His clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless , woven in one piece from top to bottom.

"Let's not tear it," they said to one another. "Let's decide by lot who will get it." This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled which said, "They divided My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing." So this is what the soldiers did.

The garment that He wore was a very valuable piece of clothing in that time. The soldiers were so impressed with it that they didn't want to tear it, so they gambled over who would get it.

The World Will Want A Seamless Garment

As we get closer to Jesus' return, more and more believers are going to be made perfectly whole.

Ephesians 5:25-27 NIV

...Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to Himself as a radiant church without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

The world will see us without spot or wrinkle or any other blemish and will be totally amazed! Just as the soldiers wanted Jesus' seamless garment, the world will desire to be healed and made completely whole.

A Precious Gift Our Body Is A Vessel

God said that our body is like the wrapping paper for a precious gift. He wants our body to be perfectly whole because it is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. Our bodies are the temple of the living God.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Amplified

Do you not know that your body is the temple--the very sanctuary--of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, you were bought for a price--purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.

Our bodies are to be whole, or seamless, like the garment that Jesus wore. Our flesh is supposed to be whole and perfect. A seam indicates a weakness in the clothing. God does not want us to have any weaknesses, or infirmities.

The world will see us without spot or wrinkle or any other blemish and will be totally amazed!

Jesus paid the price on the cross for us to be completely healthy. God wants us to enjoy life with no pain or infirmity in our body. God wants us to prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers (3 John 2). He wanted it so much for us that, for the joy set before Him, He endured the cross! (Hebrews 12:2)

Isaiah 53:5 Amplified

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement needful to obtain peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes that wounded Him, we are healed and made whole.

A Prophecy Given By Chris
On Aug. 9, 1999:

"The world is going to want what we have. They are going to be walking with infirmities that the demons of hell have put on them. But, God is going to show them that what we have is true and that it is a seamless garment that Jesus gave me and you.

He has given us strength in the midst of our very sufferings. He has given us strength to overcome that which the devil would try to put on us. Satan tries to operate in the natural realm against our seamless garments, but the Lord would say that He has power over the wiles of the devil. He would say that the devil is weak.

The Word of My testimony and the Spirit of My Holiness has come among you. It has raised your bodies up just like it raised Jesus' body up once it came off the cross. It was raised from the dead by the same Spirit that is going to raise your spirit and your body and your mind up into the glorious realms of My Holiness. It is the true and living God that lives in you. You had better believe it because it is coming to pass, says the Lord."
