It is obvious that the world is getting darker and darker. However, as we get closer to the final great outpouring of God 's Spirit before Jesus' return, the church is going to get brighter and brighter. This is because the church is moving into the glory of God.

Trusting God

The world right now is depraved. This is the time that we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and not walk in fear. When we make Jesus the Lord of our life that means that He is not only our Savior, but He is our protector, deliverer, healer, provider, and Prince of Peace. We must trust Him in every area of our life. He wants us to rely on Him for everything. He is calling us now to get into His Glory. It is there that we walk in divine protection.

Psalms 91:1-2 Amplified

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].

I will say of my Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I (confidently) trust!"

Staying In His Presence

We must stay in the presence of God at all times. We stay connected to Him through the Spirit, the Word, worship, and prayer. If we have a close relationship with Jesus, we will abide in the secret place of the Most High.

Romans 5: 1-2 NIV

"Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand, And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God."

Keep Your Eyes On Jesus

We must keep our eyes off of the circumstances around us and keep them on Jesus. This means that we must not live as the world lives--full of doubt, unbelief, and fear; but full of faith.

Col. 3:1-4 NIV

"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory."

Being Fully Persuaded

We must also believe that God will do what He says. Just as Abraham did not stagger at the promises of God, we must also fully trust Him. We have to get to the place where we do not doubt the word of God at all. We must believe every promise of God. We must be strengthened in our faith and give glory to God, being fully persuaded that God has power to do what He has promised. (Romans 4: 20-21)

Psalms 91:9-11 & 14-16 NIV

"If you make the Most High your dwelling--even the Lord, Who is my refuge--then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways . . .

"Because he loves Me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation."
